Three Afro-futurism novellas

Afro-futurism about a 17 year old Himba who gets to attend the most prestigious university in the galaxy, but on the way there gets pulled into a war between the alien Meduse and humans on Earth, the Khoush. It was interesting, but I have to really like a book to enjoy first person perspective, and Binti was not my favorite narrator. It's a collection of 3 novellas, and you can tell because I felt the worldbuilding a bit shallow. I would have preferred more overall depth. But I am glad I read it, it was very interesting, especially the Afro-futurism parts of it about the Himba and their role as harmonizers.
